Three weeks ago, my little sister helped this poor little birdie whose entire tail & most of right wing feathers were plucked (probably by a cat or a crow). Of course, she could not fly & only able to hop around.
Today, I’m happy to hear that they were finally able to release her. They told me that the bird flew up like a rocket, perched on a nearby branch, & sang from her heart😃 The pic was taken by my sister just before the release.

i'm going to assume that you've double-checked that it is plugged into the (correct) Speaker port. i noticed that there is a jumper JP4 *specifically* for switching between speaker and line out modes.
i also noticed that JP3 mute/unmutes the entire card.

For quite a number of non-americans, the Dear Leader's America is like a car crash. We do not want to see it, but it's too appalling, too awkward, and too fascinating to ignore.

I think you might be narrowing it too much - I believe that, although there is a very large number of trump voters who fit your framing, there is also a reasonable amount of them who voted for him due to a lack of better options when in profound disagreement with a significant portion of the democratic party's policies and specially Kamala.

Excellent work on this article. It's crazy how Donald Trump managed to made every ally turn their back at the USA. Countries are plotting and planning behind their back, people are boycotting US goods and services, and everybody is rushing to reduce their interdependence with the US.

With the update to #Pixelfed 0.12.5, I was finally able to export all my statuses. Before that, there was a hard limit of 500. Even though I only had about 170 posts of my own, all shares and likes and stuff counted into that balance, hence no download for me. Yet.
Now that I got a nice .json file, I used Excel to convert this into a usable table. Yeah, I know, Excel! But LibreCalc doesn’t understand .json and I have to use Microsoft shit at work anyhow. So why not take advantage of that?
The Pixelfed export contains not only texts, but also the URLs for all images. Copy that column of URLs to a text file, push it through WGET et voilà, a directory full of joy.
All I have to do is write a short macro which takes the available info from the spreadsheet and creates separate .md files for use in #Hugo or whatever platform I want to show the images on.
Since I don’t need any Pixelfed-specific functions, I can now close down my two instances. Future images will go to #Friendica and – via another script yet to be written – also to my blog.

Well, after my PeerTube miniseries I will write about what it's like to self-host with the help of #YunoHost. It's very very easy to do (including updating / maintaining things). I'm self-hosting Friendica, GoToSocial and Pixelfed thanks to YunoHost.
My self-hosted Ghost blog is on another VPS and a whole different story - pure command line prompts for that one. Trickier but very satisfying 🤗
Basically, Hitch manages all the encrypted TLS traffic (the security layer that is being used by HTTPS), then you don't need to manage encryption on the apache/nginx side.
Being able to handle all your private keys in a single place is very comfortable.
It might be possible your hosting service is already managing encryption for you, that being the reason you don't actually have to bother about that.

I'm also a "forced" WhatsApp user, but my family and close friends are using XMPP to keep up with me and these 16 people have all my heart to accept talk to me by my own messenger that I lovely call isaCloud Messenger 😁

I've said it before and I'll say it again. JD Vance is like the dog that finally actually caught the car. He never wanted to be in politics in the first place. He's not good at it.
