Good morning Fedifriends!
Retoots appreciated:
Does anyone know of a legal, reliable, effective and cheap way to get a US phone number on a European phone for banking purpose while living in Europe and being currently unable to go to the US?
My son's American bank is once again screwing with him, telling him he needs to come to the branch in person. We *did* that. We spent thousands of euros on flights, a rental car, housing and did everything until they said the rest could be fine from abroad.
We double checked. Warned that the US phone was going to be disconnected from now on.
We even had to go back once before flying back to make sure everything was ok.
They said they would send him a token.
They didn't.
They said they tried to but couldn't reach him over the phone to confirm his address. 🤬🤬🤬🤬
And now it's back to square one.
The branch says the person who has power of attorney can do that for him but the international number says that will not do.
I am so furious.
Anyway, it's been a shitty night.
Sending hugs to everyone who needs them 🫂🫂🫂🫂🫂🫂🫂🫂🫂🫂🫂

Can one do that without being resident? Like, using someone else's address? (Legally, I mean).
